Inferno Trilogy - File Description

How would you like to get your hands on a nice new single player map? Would two of them be better? What if I told you that this single download yielded three maps of some intense Far Cry goodness?! Devilpie has developed and made available for your enjoyment, his Inferno Trilogy single player maps!

Included in this release are Inferno1, Inferno2 and Inferno3. Together these three SP maps constitute a complete storyline that has nothing to do with the original Far Cry. You play as Jack Carver (Or whomever you think that guy is). You were on a mission of retrieving a secret antidote from a heavily guarded area. You were spotted soon after entering the vicinity of the target. As you escape from ruthless mercenaries guarding the antidote, you fell off the cliff and ended up in an unfamiliar place with no weapon or vehicle. And your real challenge begins from here. You will try to find the antidote and find a way out by completing this trilogy.

The three maps are absolutely huge. You will experience something new from the original Far Cry as you encounter some very interesting and creative setups.

Awesome job on this!

Refer to the readme for more information.

Inferno Trilogy - Readme
Readme File:
After completing my first Far Cry SP Map named Scratch, I joined the Cerebrus Protocol Mod team. Even though the project unfortunately ended up nowhere, I decided to release my work as a standalone SP Map pack. And here it is, the Inferno Trilogy.

The 3 maps are absolutely huge. You will experience something new from the original Far Cry as you encounter some very interesting and creative setups. As always, if you find any bugs or have any suggestions please contact me via email: illmatique@msn.com

Thanks a lot! Enjoy the game!

How to install:
As usual, unpack the compressed file and move the Inferno1, Inferno2 and Inferno3 folders into your Far Cry’s “Levels” folder (Which is usually C:\Program Files \Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Levels). Then start the Far Cry game, when you come to the menu screen, press the ‘~’ button (Which is to the left of the “1” button). You will see the console. Then enter “\Map Inferno1” without the quotes and press Enter. My maps will start loading.

If you need to load your progress, you need to first load the correct level. For example, if you want to load your progress in Inferno2, you will have to enter “\Map inferno2” and press Enter. When Inferno2 has been loaded, you can press Esc and load your previous saves from the menu.

PS: In certain places of the game you’ll HAVE to ‘die’ because of the storyline. But don’t worry, you will soon find out you are still aliveJ

I've downloaded it & I must say It's pretty darn good, more realistic sounds, ricochets,
even the AI seems keener, I really like the new weapon sounds, the "cry effect " is a bit of a novelty, don't use it much, overall A good job, thanks!!

I've played the whole lot and I think they're brilliant. Good enough to be on the official release of FC. 10/10.

Just a warning: These (terrible I might add) maps add there sound files (LOL?!) to your main far cry ".pak" files, basically you start hearing this annoying retard voice periodically during the full campaign after you play these maps once... They are god awful maps to boot... With 100% stationary AI that sit perfectly still (fun fun?).

Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil has a fantastic mappack/mod called TESTED, its a mustdownload, and now Far Cry has its own Tested, its called Inferno, someone above mentioned "intelligent leveldesign" and its very true, from the moment you load first map and begin playing, youre hooked, its very professionally made and it never feels like its a custom map, if you know what i mean, actually it beats many vanilla FC maps easily imo, this is a MUSTDOWNLOAD! 10 10 no question =)
