Secret Elements of Mercry - File Description

Back to wow the masses with his newest map designed to feed the appetite of the action-hungry Far Cry gamer, Robin has arrived! This is his latest Single Player map, and as with all of his maps, this one comes with an engaging back story; Secret Elements of Mercry starts six billion years ago, when the Earth was formed and the last molten impact occurred...which is still evident today. The crater from this impact surrounds the tropical island of Mercry, which is now used as a mercenary strong hold. However, the use of this island comes with a price...Merc transmissions have been intercepted and there is trouble throughout the island. There are reports flooding in of to many deaths, unexplained accidents, and disappearances...this has got the Mercs jumpy.

The last transmission made was an order to go under total lockdown. Protect yourselves the best you can and shoot anything that moves! The island of Mercry is believed to be the origin of the mythology known as FarCry. A legend of a war waged between man and monsters for years.
The developer has supplied some tips for a successful mission:
  • Radar only shows the final entrance.
  • Do not use vehicals. They're more trouble then they are worth.
  • Use the jungle paths as much as possible.
  • You must collect ten elements. Each elements will take out one of the ten gates to the final enterance.
  • Save one of the gun boats in the bay to get to the gates.
  • Some saves are before objectives, some are after.

Your mission, if you choose to except it, is to find out the truth of FarCry. Was it a hoax made up by intelligent scientific evildoers or is it a missing link to our own savage past? You will have to decide after you get the the ten elements that will complete your mission.

Refer to the readme for more information, and good luck!

Far Cry is a game that can push a computer past what it is capable of. It is better to set the graphics
to a lower setting and play the game than to have the graphics and resolution too high and make it
chopping and unstable.

Copy the m folder and paste it into C:Program FilesUbisoftCrytekFar CryLevels Folder.

Start the game, when the game is running press ~ a command screen will pop up then type map m then press enter.

This game is passed what most computers are capable of so an AI controller has been added to make
the game easier to run and nessasary to play.

F is the use key in this game. You must press F at certain locations for certain items to activate.

The ai and physics controllers are manually engaged and will put the computers full power directly to the curent objective.

User has to have a high end computer to play.

I've tried every RLL map that Robin has released, and have found them all to be unplayable. Dying 50 times a minute is not my idea of an enjoyable game.

Every map in this RLL series has guards sitting in sniper treehouses, firing trillions of bullets through impossibly dense vegetation and obstacles. That's ridiculous.

I'm sure there are interesting elements to look at in each of your maps, I've just never lived long enough to see any of them. It's not a matter of skill, it's a matter of killing the player with a hail of 50-km bullets from every direction just for moving six inches. Jack Carver would be an idiot to accept such a mission, let alone a whole series like this.

I've tried all the rll maps and they just suck. Making silly maps and then claiming "your computer isn't good enough" is poor design and even worse personality. I can play Crysis, I can play the rlls. They just suck. Waypoints don't work right, instructions are misleading or non existant. Don't bother with any of the rll games. Two Thumbs Down!

I must be doing something right to strike such jealousy that you can't contain your self. I have played 99,9 % of the maps out there. I've never experienced any sort of vacuum from any of them; there are NO maps that suck. There are developers out there working hard to put something on this site that someone else might enjoy. With your adverse thinking, development is backward not forward so stop it. If you don't like my maps simply don't play them.

i agree, there really isnt any maps that suck as such smile But theres annoyances with some of them tho, the fact one has to mess around with the sandbox editor to even start a map sucks, esp since i cant run that crap program, it crashes within 10 secs, those 4 greekish bros that made this wasnt very good scripters haha ^^

i played it now, dont get me wrong, i like this one, its just that its implausibly uber hard, i mean within 30 secs from start i got like 16 rockets in my head from distances so far away they dint even showup in the binos..?? lol Dont these guys have anything but rocket launchers on that island? Two steps - bam! 8 rockets in my head, as said tho i liked the layouts, intriguing map but way way too hard with all these rockets
